Entirely funded by the Lao Rehabilitation Foundation, a new library building was erected at Simmano High School and opened its doors to students in September 2006. With the support of Standard Chartered Bank IT division in Bangkok, Thailand, 10 computers have been installed in the new building, allowing the school to provide computer training and computer assisted foreign language courses. The building will also house a large collection of books. As of September 2006, 180 books have already been provided and are accessible to students.
