NamNgeum Health Center located in Namor district, Oudomxay province serves the needs of a population of 3,746 people. The main activities of the center are disease prevention, health education, vaccine injections, dispensing vitamin A and parasite medication. A staff of 7 nurses delivers babies, provides basic treatment and refers difficult cases to the district hospital.  The center sees on average 2,500 to 3,000 patients per year and performs 5 to 8 deliveries per month. NamNgneum secondary school serves the needs of 250 students from 9 villages. 128 students stay at small dormitories at the school where water is limited.
