FEBRUARY 2023 – DELIVERY OF MOBILE EYE CARE EQUIPMENT IN OUDOMXAY PROVINCE
Our first mission of 2023, was to deliver a new SL-17 Portable Slit Lamp that we plan to use for the upcoming outreach cataract surgery mission in Oudomxay and Phongsaly provinces in May of this year, along with a Quicksee auto-refractor that had to be returned to US for repair, software update and calibration as we plan to continue testing school children for visual acuity and refractive error. Starting with 3 schools in Houn District, our ophthalmic nurse and her team screened over 600 children.

As always, when testing children’s eyes in schools, we bring well needed school supplies to children who greatly appreciate it.
