Rural communities get free health care checks, treatment and medicine.
In September 2010, a team of Lao doctors organized and financed by LRF visited the Bounneua and Bountai districts of Phongsaly province in Northern Laos. The mobile medical team offered free eye, ear nose and throat, dental, and pediatric care and echography scanning was provided for expectant mothers. More than 3,000 local residents showed up to take advantage of the opportunity.
